This particular song was written about a man who was murdered by the Fullerton Police Department in California. Kelly Thomas was brutally beaten by the Fullerton Police department as he was screaming out in agony for his mother and father to help. Kelly was diagnosed with schizophrenia. Medical records said that bones in his face were broken and he ended up passing away by choking on his own blood.
